CAU Collaboration Step 3: Implementation (Brainstorm)

The week is up, and looks like there are 10 participants in the collaboration (who have checked previous poll and average of 12 times each lol). As a result of the poll, the winner is multiple stat increase with 3 votes. So post your ideas here on how to implement a boost to 2 or more units. You can be as detailed or vague as you want. The point here is to get ideas and discussion going between us.

Hard for me to add anything. The Stone Golem fills the add to durability role so well.

Maybe a unit that does it without focus.

Damn.. i saw like 105 views and was wondering why the poll only had 10 ish votes... wow..

Anyhow an idea i was considering within the above perameters was a unit that makes another unit a HERO.

This unit (ward or preistlike unit) dubbs a unit in your formation a HERO (focus spell perhaps or a 1 time deal?)
A HERO has special blessings upon him from the ancients. He is a formidable foe (wards aCANNOT BE HEROED.)

Basicaly the ancients grant any unit multiple stat increases (mostly defensive)

+4 to maximum hp
+10% to blocking percentage
+1 passive heal every "player" turn.

In addition to these special powers any freindly unit standing within 1 square of the HERO gains a bonus +5% to their blocking percentage. and perhaps the passive heal would affect these units as well giving a small +1 heal every player turn?


The hero' ed unit would either gain an aura similar to the DSM or a small crownlike symbol would apear above the unit.. or a heaven like light or a halo is above the hero?

Maybe up the the stat bonus and make hero's life contingent on the life of the unit that bestowed hero status.

Like a princess grants hero status to a knight. If the princess dies the knight dies also.

Or We could do some sort of symbiont creature that merges with units to boost them. and can leave a host and join other people to boost them up if they need it.

and makes them change to a red and grey color.

well i was thinking u can click and "attack" an allied unit and it merges with them.
doesnt work on wards.
and after the merging if the the merged unit attacks an emtpy square the symbiant leaves the host and appears there.

I like the Idea of boosts, would add so much more Strategic to the game, but any new piece ( that was decent/good) would do that. +blocking would be nice.

so the whole CAU collaboration experiment fell apart because I didn't feel there was enough interest once we got to this step.

i hope that in the process some people were able to get some good ideas for units anyways.

I got an idea early on with the range shortening and other attribute reduction. I changed my Flash Scarab to fit.
